Wow, that's an awful lot of work to achieve the same thing.
You don't have to go through all that. You'll end up losing ALL relationships with EVERYONE like that.
Just delete the existing relationship. The options to set relationships will magically re-appear.
@Psychotps I deleted this sims family and she still can't become my sims daughter.
