UPDATE
So I've closed out the game and reopened it several times since I last posted. The only way for me to access the Willow Creek library for the event was to take out my mods. I don't play with many mods, and I'm diligent about keeping my mode up to date. So I'm 100 percent sure these mods were not old or out outdated. In fact, I had pulled out my whole mods folder a couple days ago with the impending update. And since the update, I've only put back in updated ones that were confirmed as compatible with the most recent patch on the 3rd. What could be causing the whole of the Willow Creek library neighborhood to freeze on me if my mods are up to date?
I had a similar problem where my game would freeze at 12.03am. The mod causing this was the updated mccc. I took it out and replayed the game until I got past 12.03, saved the game quit the game and reinstalled mccc. The game has been ok since then.
