I have updated my game, the hot fix of March 18th, and my game still doesn't launch with cc installed. I still get the message "Failed to launch game" when cc is installed.
Ideas
After the march 18 update, the sims 4 won’t launch at all; I don’t even get the “failure to launch” thing others are getting. I repaired the game, launched it without mods, reset my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app, cleared my cache, and deleted the resource file. I went and removed all of my mods and cc and added it back one by one until I found that it was only cc causing the game to not load. Nothing else works expect for moving CC clothing out. Script and package mods work perfectly fine, it’s literally just the clothes.

I also recommend trying this:
- rename the user folder
- restart the game to make a new one
- copy your saves and mods back, but not the mod folders - make new ones
