Fine in CAS but not in Game.

I recently started to delve into the CC world, and I found some cute outifts and they show up on my sim totally fine in CAS but when I go into the game mode.. the dress/skirt is sketchy as plum.. do I need to sort out my game play settings? if so what to? or is the item a dud?
