Update: I have now posted a brief explanation of the problem and solution (as well as the two screenshots of the normal map and UV map overlay) on the EA Answers bug report thread I mentioned in the post above. Feel free to go there and hit "me too" if you'd like to see this very easy fix get officially fixed soon. In the meantime, you can download the fixed version in the link I provided in the first post.
By the way, on the EA Answers thread, I go by "Ghost of Nobody" instead of "GlacierSnow". Just, you know, to keep things simple. :wink:
