at first, I thought it was a whole gallery problem, but it seems that I cannot randomize from my gallery and CAS. It keeps showing the same exact characters over and over. this been happening for 10 days..

hthiizsot2fi You've got a CAS background mod there. Please test mod/CC-free: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
I get the exact same problem and have never used mods. That button 99% of the time just gives me the same sim over and over again.
