@Bonnieemmz Do you use a third-party antivirus? If so, try setting exceptions for Origin.exe and TS4_x64.exe, and if that doesn't help, temporarily disable the antivirus and test. As long as you don't do anything other than open Origin and Sims 4, your computer should be safe. It's a good idea to have your mods already downloaded before disabling the antivirus.
If you don't use a third-party program, you may have Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access enabled. In that case, please either disable it or set exclusions as described here:
