YesDid this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure I do play with mods/CC, but this bug still occurs without. This bug happens primarily with the small drink-making appliances (e.g. coffee/tea brewers, kettle from for rent, etc) as opposed to the larger drink appliances (i.e. espresso machines from get together), but whenever I have my sim make a drink and try to drink it, my game almost always crashes while they're drinking/soon after they finish. I play on an M1 Mac.

HI @tv2rock Try the following Close the game Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old Repair the game Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry Start a new save game Check if you still have the error Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

@adrianacanet Just to be clear, when you started the new game, was it completely mod-free (and did you delete the localthumbcache folder before relaunching Sims)?

@crinrictYes I've tried as you said and the new game without mods didn't crush, then I started trying the mods and it was working fine. But then I enter ed in the old game and it crushes... I don't know what could be the problem...

Try the following

Close the game

Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old

Repair the game

Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry

Start a new save game

Check if you still have the error

Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

@crinrict Yes, I've tried a few things and my main game it always crushes when they have coffee/tea, but now my sims are on vacation in a free cc lot and it doesn't happen. So it must be cc but I checked everything and don't have food mods or anything, just cc kitchen furniture etc... I don't know what could be, I have to check more things.

@adrianacanet By checking everything you mean you removed all your mods/cc, deleted the localthumbcache file and tested on a backup of that particular save up and it still crashed ?

I have the same problem with item CCs only (no gameplay mods or anything else). I spent many hours testing. I discovered for example that a shelf of the CC creator Pierisim caused almost every time the crash bug with the coffee. So I tested a lot of CCs like that, but it still happens, but less often. It's really hard to find the cause, sometimes there's no bug for a while and then all of a sudden it happens... I play on Mac M3

@Lonoath You might want to check CC for updated versions. If a last exception file is generated when the problem happens, I'm happy to look at it.
