game is corrupted?

Since updating my game I had to redownload a lot of cc (accidentally fumbled and deleted everything) and I just tried opening my game and it kept saying a bunch of cc was corrupted and wouldn't launch the game. So I kept taking things out and eventually took out folders one by one till I had no cc and then it would open so I'm just mad confused.

That did work, I downloaded a piece of the cc it said was previously corrupted. Do I just reinstall everything then??

BuildABrat01 Please try this, so help diagnose the problem:

Rename the Mods folder.

Delete the file called localthumbcache.

Start the game and exit.

Download a new piece of CC. I usually use either peacemaker furniture or SurelySims clothes because I know they all work.

Install that one item in your newly created Mods folder and try again.

Does that work?
