@lucy2005b and @Blue6864 Please move the Mods folder to the desktop, delete localthumbcache.package, and test your saves. You don't need to save your progress; the point is to find out whether the saves run better.
If your main saves are still affected, try recovering a(nother) backup. Make sure to test either a different backup or a fresh copy of one you've already tried—the point is that this backup can't have been exposed to mods or custom content at all since this problem started happening.
Please also post a screenshot of the contents of the saves folder, as in, I'd like to see the save files themselves. Make sure their modified dates and file sizes are showing.

@Lucy2005br What exactly do you mean by broken: are you having exactly the same symptoms as the other users in this thread, or is something else going on? Did you previously use mods or cc? Please also let me know what platform you're playing on/
the only thing i can do is create sims and build my sims won’t actually do anything they just stand there the only thing they can do watch tv for some reason, i give them a task and it either deletes itself or they say they are doing it but they just stand still.
My game is working now (hopefully it stays that way), there was a random file in my mods folder. I deleted it and my game is no longer freezing. Thank you for helping me!
Nevermind my game froze again!
Here's a screenshot of my save files. Also, I moved my mod folder to my desktop and the game was not freezing. I moved the mod folder back and my game froze. I don't know if it's the MCCC mod or the recent update from the game. But I have the most updated MCCC mod and I don't understand why my game is not working. My game didn't start freezing until I got the most recent game update yesterday.
@Blue6864 Your save file sizes look fine, which is good to see. I think you know the issue is another mod or cc item that you haven't caught yet, so please test all of the rest. If you have a lot, the 50/50 method can make the process much more efficient:
