Got Engaged Without Asking?
Everyone, of course, has gotten calls from Sims about such and such job offers even though that particular Townie isn't in that job field. And I'm sure everyone has had those sorts of calls from their own family who aren't in their household. It's always weird to get a job offer from your own child calling you by your first name.
But something deeply weird happened to me. I believe it's part of the Parenthood Game Pack, but you can get calls asking for advice, so you can encourage or discourage people to get married, to have a baby, etc.
Weirdest thing ever:
My Sim's boyfriend called her and did the "I found a ring in (Name of Partner's) bag," he thinks they're going to ask him to marry her and asked what should he should do.
So the message said MY Sim's name... He was calling his girlfriend about finding a ring in HER bag and acting like he wasn't speaking to that very same Sim.
I was very wtf? and said to answer yes just to see what would happen. Quickly got a message that my Sim got engaged and now my Sim has the Engaged! moodlet and their relationship panel shows them as being engaged.
How is this remotely possible or reasonable? Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? Gotten engaged without directly interacting with the other Sim? I have no mods and while I have quite a few packs I have far from all of them.
