i am new to the cc and mod life but i am struggling to get ANY into the game. i download and when i get into the game no mods or cc come up.. i made a mod file on my pc but still doesn't work. can someone help an old gal out.

  • A few things could be the issue:

    1. In settings double check that game mods and script mods are enabled.
    2. Second, double check that you're putting the files in the correct mod-folder. You say you created a file, I assume you mean a folder? But you shouldn't have to create one, as the game should have generated it for you (it's just empty until you start putting things in). Make sure you unpack the mods in the right mods-folder. (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods)
    3. Your mod folder cannot contain zip-files or rar-files, but it needs to be the extracted files. The files should end with "package".
    4. Some mods require a folder on its own to function properly. TMex's mods are like that. Follow the instructions when installing.
    5. If one of the mods is TMex BetterBuildBuy, and the mods you've put in are BB-items they won't show up until you enable it in the BB-view. You also have to turn BetterBuildBuy on for it to function properly.
    6. If you are still struggling use a source such as Curseforge for your mods, it will help you place the files in the correct folder for you.

  • Can you explain exactly what you're doing in detail? Did you enable mods and CC in the game options?

hey! firstly thank you soo much for your help!

so i couldn't find a mod folder in the sims 4, would it be hidden within another folder? so i created one within the sims4.. i guess that is wrong?

everything is enabled on the sims game, i have downloaded a zip file and then extracted it from there so that has been done correctly.. i will also look into the BBB too.

    thank you!
