- JellysimwichNew TravelerThis forum's dead. Thankfully I figured it out. Seems like a big fat NO to moving sims around freely in build mode. As for poses, yeh, big disappointment there, as you're limited to CAS.
- Yes sim 4 studio 2.2.0.3(vogue) + blender. Just click create animation. This will show you a list of all the animations. Select the animation you want to change and click next and select a save location and save. This will make a package file for the animation. The just click export and select a save location(Dont close studio as there is no way to skip past the indexing process). This will create a blender file you can edit. With poses you just have to move the model into position and save. Animations in sims4 are just a series of poses connected by key frames. Once the pose/animation is how you want it save and import with studio(if you closed studio you with have to select animation to package again to get back to the import/export screen). When you import this will create a new package file. Then just add the imported package file to you mods folder. If you don't see the create animation button in your studio it might be an older version. Remember package files in your mods are high priority and override the existing code.
- You can create poses/animations and replace existing ones. For example I have replaced the sleeping on the couch animation with a private moment animation as well as the woohoo animation.
- I've always wanted to make poses for our Sims, raven1281 how can we replace or at least temporarily modify existing animations in game? :)
I wanna do a sweet/romantic couple's pose :)
What programs did you used? S4 Studio + Blender? I thought these can only pose for our Sims only in CAS

Vadish so much for your quick response ;)
I'm reading your instructions and the ones for the "Create Custom Animation Tutorial" over by S4 Studio is almost similar and your's is very easy to understand thank you :)
The existing code is in the resource file (correct me if i'm wrong) and just change it to the highest priority for packedfiles?
Tq again raven1281 for sharing your how-to's in Custom Animating Sims ;)- Yes, but you shouldnt need to change anything because the resource file gives any package file in you mods folder (priority 500 i think it is). Just means to get the normal animation back you'll have to remove your animation from the mods. Happy to help
