How Do I Unmod a Gallery Item?

Hello, I am trying to upload a unmodded version of a lot I already posted. I cannot get the automatic 'modded' status to stay away when uploading the unmodded lot to the gallery.

I have tried:

  • Removing the mod items from the lot and resaving the lot from build/buy mode.
  • Going into TS4 tray importer, locating all mods involved, removing the mods completely from my game.
  • Restarting the game.
  • Removing ALL mods, restarting the game, resaving the lot (which seemed to work, as the modded sticker wasn’t there for that saved lot) but when I uploaded the unmodded version, it regained the modded sticker automatically for some reason?

I am at a loss. I feel I must be missing something obvious.

As I am a first-time poster, please feel free to correct me in anything I may have done wrong. 😊

  • @crinrict So It's 100% the tray importer. I feel ridiculous. Of course tray importer would do that, Ive just seen people with changed pics without the modded flag, so i assumed differently. xD either way, it makes sense.
@Jona0703 The bedroom wall covering was straight up something I just forgot, actually. Embarrassing! lol. And I appreciate the compliment!
Thank you both for helping me figure this out. I called it in saying I was missing something obvious. I appreciate both of you and the effort you've put into this :D

  • @PandoraPeace Have you tried placing in the lot in a new save (empty mods folder, deleted locatthumbcache file) and then reuploading ? Does it also flag in the library or just the gallery ?
  • @crinrictI have tried placing the lot in a new save, saving to my library, and THEN uploading. That did not work, the uploaded item gained a modded sticker when uploaded. I also tried doing this but uploading directly from the save screen, which resulted in: the lot being saved to my library unmodded, but showing as modded in my catalog and profile. I have also tried moving items around so the game doesnt see it as the same lot, but that also did not work.
I deleted the localthumbcache, started a new game, placed the lot, moved stuff around, saved to my library, which did not give it the modded sticker, but when i uploaded it, it became modded again.
    I appreciate your time!

@PandoraPeace Hello!  Do you have any paintings or photos created by your sims on the lot?  Those can sometimes show up as CC when uploading the lot.  Any paint by reference paintings will do this.

@PandoraPeace I tested your lot yesterday by reuploading it to the library (didn't want to do it to the gallery) and there was no flag there but by the sound of it, that's the same for you.

Are you ok if I test it by uploading to the gallery ? It might show me as the original creator depending on what I try. I will delete afterwards.

EDIT: Have you been using T.O.O.L on the lot ?

  • @crinrictof course go ahead, i really appreciate you testing it for me! :o I have not used t.o.o.l at all, it's not even something i keep in my game
and @Jona0703 Thank you for the advice! I don't think thats the case, but maybe they painted something while i was building? I will look and see! 🙂 thats very useful to know

edit: I just thought of something, i used st4 tray importer to change the pictures, could the game be counting that as CC?! 2nd edit: I do not think it is the pics, but i cant really test it because now the game is counting the lot a modded even in the 'save this lot' screen

@PandoraPeace Yes, tray importer could cause it but it's odd that it doesn't flag in the library then.

    I'll test later

Also don't think it's photos/paintings or it would flag in the library too.

    EDIT:

So I uploaded it to the gallery and for me it's not modded. Could you test without switching out pics ?

@PandoraPeace Apologies!  I didn't think to DL your lot at first.  Is it the Victorian Family Home lot?  When I searched your profile that's the only one that showed as "modded".  I DLed that lot and I got a prompt that 5 items were removed.  From the packs used, the only one I don't have is the new MWS.  I checked to see what MWS items were used and saw there was a chair from that pack.  Then I noticed one of the bedrooms didn't have a wall covering.

I wonder if you could double-check this room to make sure the wall covering isn't CC.  If that wall covering is CC, I don't know why it wouldn't be flagged in your library but, as far as I can tell, it's the only thing missing from the lot in my game.

Edit: By the way, this is a gorgeous lot!  Very well done!

Edit2: I just noticed there is an unfinished painting one the 2nd floor balcony.  I don't think this would cause the flag but maybe you could test removing that?

@PandoraPeace It could be a new thing. It did for a while, then Tray Importer changed something and it wasn't doing it anymore. So maybe EA now caught up again and it's flagging again :D
