Whenever I try to pick up my infant, the parent sim will do the same animation for when you cannot go somewhere. I have tried resetting both sims, moving them to a completely open area, using both parent and baby to try to pick them up, clearing my cache, and have checked all of my mods for any issues (which there is none). At this point, I’m unsure of what to do to fix this problem, can anybody help me out?
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
I have tested MANY things with and without mods to identify the issue. This is definitely a core game bug. Everyone else in my sim's family can pick up the baby except for the mother of the baby who aged it up. I have two parents (young adult - both spellcaster) and two grandparents (elder - one spellcaster, one werewolf). This issue seriously needs to be looked into!
That is not how you fix it. It is a game issue. Has nothing to do with mods. I hate when I'm searching for a fix to a Sims 4 issue and everyone says the same thing. The patch is buggy and that interaction takes forever for Sims to do along with many other interactions. EA would be lucky that people even keep buying this junk. At this point I'd rather not have the infant patch. Everything is screwed.
Has anyone found the solution to this or is this an problem they need to fix??
My game is doing something similar; only difference is that my sim was able to start picking up the infant (after struggling with the action not casheing at all) but then T-pose and drop them. Not a single person in my household can interact with the infant and it’s not mod related because I copy/deleted and turned them off when the game updated…
I used to have the opinion and now it’s gone . The mum used to be able to interact with the baby but she can’t now .
I have the same problem. Sometimes my Sims can interact with the infant like talk to them and stuff but no interaction where they need to pick up the infant works. And as everyone else already said its not a mod problem because it happenes in a vanilla save with no mods and new sims as well.....
you also have to remember the game just came out a couple of days ago. all new games have bugs
Hi, I am not sure if this is the issue, you mentioned that you tested all of your mods, but I had the same problem as you described and it turned out the mods from Sofmc9 -BECARRIEDANIM and CHILDBECARRIED - caused the problems, well at least in my case. After I removed them I can pick up infants and interact with them.
