I can't name paintings

I have my sims make paintings A LOT, it's just one of my absolute favorite skills to work on, make money with, and decorate the walls with. I really enjoy playing legacy/generations families and filling up their homes with art and family portraits. However, I've been noticing this strange bug I've never had before and can't seem to find any forum topics or even mods to help this issue.... I can't name ANY of the paintings my sims make 😢 When I click the paintings the option just doesn't show up! I can still frame them, sell, move, etc... everything!! Just not name them ): I know this is kind of a minor issue but it's still really frustrating to deal with especially when it keeps happening in EVERY SAVE ): if anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be greatly appreciated ❤️

    First only put back your save game

    Copy all content from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves 

    If there's a duplicate because of the new save you created, either just overwrite the file if you don't want to keep the new save or rename the new one to a different number that hasn't been used.

    Now test again. If it still works, you can put the following folders back (just copy the content like you have done for the saves to their respective folders

    - Screenshots

    - Recorded Videos

    - Tray (your houses and households)

    - Custom Music if you have any

    Test again.

    If it still works you can move on to your mods folder.

    Copy stuff back in groups. Start with CC, most should be fine., then your mods but do make sure they are compatible

    HI @eterhnite 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    tysm, that worked!! I made a backup of my old folder just in case before following your instructions step by step and the option to name a painting showed up again!! Waiting further instructions 😇 ❤️ 🤞

    Okay, I did everything, did a whole 50/50 test with all of my mods, checked the broken mods list thoroughly AND I FOUND THE PROBLEM :D The sole culprit for my issue was LittleMsSam's personal objects mod-- SPECIFICALLY the file for easels and sketchpads, no other files in that mod cause the issue. I should've known it was a mods problem *facepalm* Tysm for your time and help!! ❤️

    @eterhnite Next step is to check that you have an updated version of that mod and to check the installation instructions for it.
