I don’t know what to do help please

Since the last patch my game keeps getting repetitive sound constantly crashing and to top it off when I go to restaurants I can’t request table or be seated as host doesn’t show up or go to the bars I’ve backed up  my saves tried repairing game resetting the folder clearing catches everything I can think of I can’t loose almost ten years of game play I have no mods or CC
Anyone having any of these issues or can anyone give my a solution without loosing years of game play

Thank you and happy simming

  • Hi There,

I'm just a regular shmoe player like you, but i also have been having issues since the latest update. The sims 4 is currently going through a lot of issues it seems, the EA Help desk folks said they need to work through it today on launch of the For Rent pack. I would suggest opening up a Ticket on the EA Help Page here: https://help.ea.com/en/help-my-cases/

hope it will resolve for you, be well

  • Hello, I suspect there might be an issue with either one of your saves (corrupted) or potentially a computer part or software. First, try creating a new save and re-attempt whatever caused your crash. If the error persists, these might be your next steps. Please make sure that all drivers are updated (its a little complicated but if you are using windows there are loads of websites that will talk you through it, please don't download random software to do it). If you have updated all drivers and this continues, you may need to replace your RAM. If you are not computer savvy, you can bring it to repair shops but it might get expensive.

  • Hi @I-Sim4ever_80 Please try a Game Repair to make sure that your game update has completed right.

Another thing to try is a clean folder, especially after years of gameplay! Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. Test a new save, then start copying your old files (not folders!) into the new folders. Don't replace any of the new Sims-generated files (.ini files and the like). Just copy back the insides of Tray, Saves, Screenshots, and the like.

    Hi @I-Sim4ever_80 Try this sequence:

    • Drag the Sims 4 folder to the desktop.
    • If you haven't done a Game Repair when you had a clean folder, do that.
    • If you have combined a Game Repair with a clean folder, uninstall the game and reinstall
    • Test repaired/reinstalled Sims 4 on a new game in that clean folder

@I-Sim4ever_80 Is the loading screen on specific lots, and if so of what type of lot? Or in what specific world? Are there any particular symbols on that lot in the map view?
