I have no idea what I did

I was downloading mods tonight.  Usually when I unzip the file it goes directly to my downloads where I can cut the file and paste it into my mods folder.  Well I accidentally chose to unzip it to internet explorer.  I have tried every way of unzipping the file but I can not seem to get it back to the original way.  I  am assuming I messed up some setting somewhere.  I hope this makes sense to someone because playing sims and downloading mods is my way of relaxing and this woman here is not relaxing tonight.  😩
