Infant is sad all the time and tries to go to sleep even when energy is green

The sad moodlet will not leave the infant, so the infant is constantly sad, crying and trying to go to sleep even when energy is green. Cheating needs does not remove the moodlet.

If you put the infant in the crib when the energy is green the infant screams to be let out.

The Angry buff for wanting to get out of the crib lasts for 4 hours, that is excessive.

    @troshalom

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

    @jpkarlsen Hi, I'm not a rookie. I removed my mods, deleted all of the necessary files in February and was playing a vanilla game.

    @troshalom

    With every update to the game some mods will become broken. So that it worked in February is no guarantee that it still works.

  • @troshalom When’s the last time the infant actually slept? I’ve noticed with mine that that sad moodlet seems to come up after a certain amount of time passes, no matter how sleepy they actually are. Maybe cheating the need rather than sleeping makes it worse?

    Try playing as the infant, click on them, and choose “try to go night night” - they can sleep right on the floor without getting angry at being placed in a crib.
  • @troshalom It’s just that poorly programmed. Infants IRL do sleep frequently, but they’re not in a perpetual state of exhaustion and in need of a nap every hour and a half despite having high energy like the devs seem to think makes sense. If you have a parent hold the infant and “give ___ a nap” for a few minutes it clears the moodlet.
  • Also, I use MCC to remove the angry “let me out” moodlet. It’s absurd and the four hour cooldown is just nonsensical. The kid would calm down as soon as you pick it up IRL, and they wouldn’t even remember being mad within a few minutes, but in game an infant stays angry for HOURS. No way. I remove the buff via MCC. As far as their energy, I give them one nap in the early afternoon and then just fill up their commands with “play” with various toys or looking at art/objects. It’s annoying, but by the time it’s 7-9 pm, the energy bar is red and they sleep through the night after dinner/a bottle. Most of the time they let the Sim parents actually sleep, rarely do they wake up because the energy bar is so low.
    still wish there was a mod to remove the stupid autonomous “try to go night night” EVERY THIRTY SECONDS. That would solve 75% of my problems with this game. The other 25% of my rage comes from the FOREVER broken highchairs.
