Anything else I can do to fix this?
So I did all of these steps and loaded my game on a recovered save and now the infinite loading screen occurs when I'm trying to load into the household.
Before, the issue was that I received the loading screen when I go to certain lots (so far I've only tested restaurants and certain ones work and others don't). But now, without the mods folder and with everything you recommended, I can get the game to load, the world map loads, but when I select the household, infinite loading screen.
This can be caused by multiple issues. One is that you used CC that needs updating for DX11. You can use a batch fix in Sims 4 Studio for that.
The other is that you removed certain mods or CC:
- If you removed cooking mods, put those back or try to delete plates/food in Build/Buy mode.
- If you have Growing Together and use or used to use CC, add Lumpinou's Milestones Fixes mod.
- If you have any freelance career or gigs mods that doesn't have an available update since fall 2024, remove those mods. Then do a “Save As” within game, then exit and reload the save.
I was able to get it to work!! Thank you! The only issue I'm having now is my toddler sim is making talking movements but no words are coming out of her mouth. No sound for her at all. I went into cas and tried to modify her voice and still no sound.
