Technical Troubleshooting Report: [v1.122.218] Missing CC / Infinite CAS Loop
System: Alienware (High-End)
Library Size: 94GB (Primary) / 1GB & 51-item (Testing)
Status: All tests performed after a full PC restart, clearing all caches, and running as Administrator.
The "Clean Environment" Test Sequence:
To rule out "Broken Mods" or "Too many files," I performed the following steps:
Full Cache Purge: Deleted localthumbcache.package, ClientDB.package, AvatarCache, and the StringCache (STR) folder.
Vanilla Folder Test: Moved the entire 94GB library out. Created a fresh "The Sims 4" folder.
Small-Batch Isolation: Used a single folder of "Bottoms" containing 387 loose .package files (approx. 953MB). No subfolders. No images/JPEGs.
and then shrunk that to 51 items (107MB)
Registry/Handshake Fix: Ran the game exclusively as Administrator to bypass the "Content Not Installed" Gallery handshake bug.
My testing proved a complete disconnect between the Game Engine (which loads the files) and the CAS UI (which displays them):
Startup Verification: The "Mods" startup window correctly lists the CC (see attached photo). The game sees the files.
Active Asset Loading: Placing a Sim (Drake Vandicamp) from my Library proves the CC is active. The Sim appears on the lot and in CAS actively wearing the CC jeans (see photo).
UI/Catalog Failure: Despite the Sim wearing the item, the CAS catalog shows "No results found" when the "Custom Content" filter is applied.
This is NOT a "Broken Mod" or "Outdated CC" issue. The .package files are functional and successfully applied to the Sim's 3D model.
The Catalog Indexer (linked to the new Marketplace UI) is failing to "handshake" with the metadata of these loaded assets.
The Infinite Loading Loop on "View CC" is likely a timeout error caused by the scanner failing to index these "invisible" items.
