Infinite Loading 'View CC' & Missing CAS items (94GB)

Game Version: 1.122.218.1030 Platform: PC / EA App (Unlinked from OneDrive) Mods/CC: 94GB (Primarily Alpha CC, 1-2 folders deep)

The Issue: Since the March 23rd hotfix (.218), the "View Custom Content" list in Game Options enters an infinite loading loop. In CAS, the catalog appears empty (only ~8 items show) even though the scroll bar is long.

Steps Taken (None of which worked):

Deleted localthumbcache.package and resource.cfg multiple times.

Repaired the game via EA App.

Reset the user folder/generated a new Sims 4 folder.

Forced -dx9 launch.

Verified no subfolders are more than 2 levels deep (except for Objects).

The Criticism: This is an indexing timeout. Prior to the Marketplace updates, this library loaded perfectly. The new verification service is failing to "crawl" large libraries, stalling the UI and leaving the catalog empty. I have attached my DxDiag.

Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title, removed some unrelated thread tags

Technical Troubleshooting Report: [v1.122.218] Missing CC / Infinite CAS Loop

    System: Alienware (High-End)

    Library Size: 94GB (Primary) / 1GB & 51-item (Testing)

Status: All tests performed after a full PC restart, clearing all caches, and running as Administrator.

    The "Clean Environment" Test Sequence:

To rule out "Broken Mods" or "Too many files," I performed the following steps:

Full Cache Purge: Deleted localthumbcache.package, ClientDB.package, AvatarCache, and the StringCache (STR) folder.

Vanilla Folder Test: Moved the entire 94GB library out. Created a fresh "The Sims 4" folder.

Small-Batch Isolation: Used a single folder of "Bottoms" containing 387 loose .package files (approx. 953MB). No subfolders. No images/JPEGs.

and then shrunk that to 51 items (107MB)

Registry/Handshake Fix: Ran the game exclusively as Administrator to bypass the "Content Not Installed" Gallery handshake bug.

My testing proved a complete disconnect between the Game Engine (which loads the files) and the CAS UI (which displays them):

Startup Verification: The "Mods" startup window correctly lists the CC (see attached photo). The game sees the files.

Active Asset Loading: Placing a Sim (Drake Vandicamp) from my Library proves the CC is active. The Sim appears on the lot and in CAS actively wearing the CC jeans (see photo).

UI/Catalog Failure: Despite the Sim wearing the item, the CAS catalog shows "No results found" when the "Custom Content" filter is applied.

This is NOT a "Broken Mod" or "Outdated CC" issue. The .package files are functional and successfully applied to the Sim's 3D model.

The Catalog Indexer (linked to the new Marketplace UI) is failing to "handshake" with the metadata of these loaded assets.

The Infinite Loading Loop on "View CC" is likely a timeout error caused by the scanner failing to index these "invisible" items.
