ive also moved the whole of sims 4 folder to desktop too see if it'll generate another folder and it won't generate when I try start the game because the error message still appears.
Have you repaired the game after doing this and before relaunching? Did you remove the correct Sims 4 folder? Please give me the exact file path of the folder you moved, starting with Macintosh HD > Users > etc.
@Bluebellflora thanks for responding, I moved the sims 4 folder from documents/electrontic arts/sims4, repaired the game then re launched and still the same message and it didn't generate a new sims 4 folder and still gave the same message about the mod

The Sims 4 folder should be directly in the Documents > Electronic Arts folder, not within a folder named sims4.
Please Show Path bar in Finder > View then take a screenshot of the Sims 4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder and post it here.
