CC addiction is real. I avoided for years from using the mods and CC's, thinking they were bad for the game. Then when I downloaded my first one and I couldn't get enough content into the game. I went on a shopping spree of CC for my Sims Bridal shop. Then I saw downloadable content for my geeks who went to Geekcon. Now, every house on one save has animal rugs, teens have celebrity posters on their walls, and the driveways have expensive non-driving cars parked on them.
I can't create a full story without each sim going through prom and graduation in their teen years. Everyone that gets engaged has a bachelor/bachelorette party, and when the time comes, a baby shower. I force myself to delete so much CC in my game to introduce new content. My computer slowed down, and the game started to lag until I got rid of some of the content. I work on my CC addiction by taking a month off from downloading.
