Last Exception error due to carrying an umbrella?

Hi, has anyone ever had a Last Exception error due to "carrying an umbrella" somehow not corresponding to "enforcing a certain outfit for a club meeting"? I mean, I got an orange error message that I don't understand at all, but it seems to imply just that. Yet neither the umbrellas nor that particular outfit for the club meeting are CC, it's normally game content. Could the error be elsewhere? I thought it was a buggy mod, but all the ones I have are either updated or not, but should be compatible

Error message: Exception during SI.cancel running sim_CreateCarryUmbrella:3898 on object_Umbrella:0x0c4f12081edf0c53, cancel_reason_msg is Carry owning interaction incompatible with <class 'sims. self_interactions.ForceChangeToCurrentOutfit'>: (AttributeError: type object 'ForceChangeToCurrentOutfit' has no attribute 'guid64'), CategoryID: exceptions_feedback:18

I would be very grateful for help, because lastException Assistant has never helped me effectively. Thank you.

  • @SweetySimon Do you see anything happening in the game ?

Do you also get the message if you remove all mods/cc ? You won't get the orange box but you should find a lastException file in your doc folder.

@crinrict I'm not sure what you mean by I see something happening in the game. I can see the orange board when my sims start a club meeting, change into the appropriate clothing, and it rains during that, so apparently they automatically pull out umbrellas. That's when the error I described pops up. I played for about 2 hours before that without a problem. I was hoping someone would have experience with this or maybe someone could explain what the error message means, I'm not familiar with it at all unfortunately. But I'll try removing mods and CCs one by one then, although everything should be up to date or compatible, I've already checked. Thank you.

@SweetySimon I mean does something go wrong other than the box ? Like do the Sims reset or do you simply get an LE ?

So you also get a LastException file when you remove all your mods and delete the localthumbcahce file ?

Just trying to pinpoint if it's a game issue or a mod issue.

Thank you for trying to help me, but I got another orange message today with a completely different error, so I guess this is going to be more challenging. :-) At first glance it just looks like everything is fine. Sims behave and look completely normal, can perform all interactions without any problems, animations work, mods work. That's why it's so hard for me to spot the bug. :D

@SweetySimon Maybe it's easier if you head over to the sims after dark or MCCC discord and upload the LE you get there.

Since nothing visible happens in the game, it's probably nothing serious, some posture error possibly but the folks there can probably help you better with the LEs generate by their mods.

Unfortunately, that's another one of my problems. If I could, I would do it now, but I can't log into Discord. I've never been able to, I don't know why. Unfortunately, mod authors and all support are only available through Discord or Patreon, which I also don't have, so I'm out of luck. But thanks anyway for the advice and trying to help.

@SweetySimon Maybe someone else here has an idea and can help you further.

I don't think the umbrella LE is anything bad but since you have other issues, I can't say what's going on in your game.

@SweetySimon Please test with no mods at all: Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
