Laundry day hamper and washing appliances not working

Hi, I recently bought the Laundry Day extension but I'm having trouble with all the appliances: I can't click on the hamper. there is no cursor change or anything when my sims change their clothes...

    OK I have no idea what happened but it's suddenly working??? I was playing and suddenly a whole bunch of laundry appeared in the hampers and I can click on them now.

I looked at that one, but it's pretty different cause they have problems with their washed laundry and I just have no laundry at all. No matter what appliances I have on the lot and no matter how many times my sims change their clothes there will be no laundry piles and nothing in the hampers.
I've been meaning to start over completely so when I did the reinstall I just deleted my old Sims 4 folder (after backing up the mods folder) and had the game make a complete new one (I haven't put any mods back in so they're probs not the problem). I have the old save files in my trash so I can still get to them, but which ones would you need?

    No it still doesn't work. Everytime I tried something I tested it and the problems are exactly the same each time.

      Doesn't sound saves related then.

      Did you repair your game yet ?

        Yup, and reinstalling
