lots won't save to my library

I have no idea why this is happening now but I recently finished building a lot and tried to save it to my library but it just won't save, the saving loading screen comes up and nothing happens. At first i thought it was just that the build had a lot of items on it so I left it alone to see if it's just being slow but after one whole hour the saving screen was still there.

I can exit out of the game fine when this is happening so it's not like the game has frozen, so originally going on the thought there was a lot of items in the lot and my game just wasn't handling it, I started up a new game and created another lot where I placed an empty room, I tried saving it to my library and again, it wouldn't save.

I've tried: restarting my computer, trying to save using my neighbour's wifi, taking out all my CC/mods, repairing the game, removing everything from my tray folder, removing my saved files, even uninstalling and reinstalling the game (which was a complete pain to do because it took a whole day), my game is up to date as well.

I have no idea what's wrong, and I don't even use CC in my builds and the game file I build in has no active sim households so it's not like there's a sim on the lot with CC on that's screwing up the save.

The game got stuck at this part, like the actual saving of the lot and as you can see, the modded option isn't there.

However, I've now solved my problem!!! I removed the sims 4 folder from my documents, opened the game, closed it, then put all my save files/trays back and now everything is working again.

  • I am running an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 (processor), 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (memory), AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB (graphics). I have the Legacy Edition of the Sims 4, and I have tried everything, multiple times. I repaired my game, took out all of my cc, took out the saves and tray folder, and started the game as if it were new. It still did not work. It always gives me the message "There was an error in saving this lot to your gallery." I have also run into other bug issues that seem to be connected with Legacy Edition, such as when my teen sims get promised, the game stops recognizing them as a couple. (I looked this up and it said they were aware of the issue.) Is there anything I can do about this, or is it just a Legacy Edition bug?

Your in-game Library and the Gallery are two separate things. Are you having an issue saving households/Lots to your Library or uploading to the Gallery? The Legacy Edition of the game does not have any online functionality so you cannot access the Gallery.

For Legacy Edition gameplay you should post in the GD forum for better help - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Feedback/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-information-en As Legacy Edition does not get any more updates or bug fixes there is no point in filing a bug report.
  • Oops. Yes, I meant my library, my apologies. I am having issues saving lots to my library. Thank you, I will definitely check it out.

  • Had a similar issue with "not being able" to save a lot to the library.  This issue was caused by a "No Fade Mod for all objects."  After removing that particular mod, I was able to save the game to the library.

  • This saved my sanity! I can't believe I missed it. But thank you so much for putting this out.
