You can move them one at a time with this:

sim_move first_name last_name TO household_name

Will move an inactive Sim from their current household to the household specified by “household_name”. If “active” is entered for household_name, then the Sim will be moved into the active household. Only works as long as their is room in the household based on the “Maximum Household Size” setting, and as long as there are not multiple households with the target household name, and as long as the specified Sim is not active

I don't play with >8. I know @Morphar does, but he doesn't cruise by here too often. Who else plays with overstuffed households who can give us some tips/tricks?
