MC Command Center question

I downloaded the MC Command center because I want story progressing into my game, but I don't know if it's enabled automatically or if I have to enable it.

So, do I have to do anything in order to activate story progression? Or it's already activated?

    I have McAfee web advisor, and it says the download is "dangerous". Should i still download it?
