MCCC Frozen, Game not Working

I went into the MCCC menu by clicking on my Sim, then I went to change one of his outfits but the menu disappeared and it left me on a frozen screen. I am on a Mac btw. I tried to click escape and anything else on my laptop, but nothing would work. This has happened before, but those times I just force quitted my game and lost all of my progress. On this save, I made a lot of progress with my Sims and I haven't saved it since I started playing. I don't want to lose all of my progress this time. What do I do? (I had to crop the pic a bit because it was too big to put)

When that happens, there is nothing you can do other than force quit.  It's basically the BSOD for the game.  The game is simply hung at that point, and you can wait forever, and it will not clear and the game resume.  The only way to clear it is quit and restart the game.  While it happened for you trying to open an MCCC panel, it happens in my game with other panels like the cooking menu on the fridge and the change outfit option panel on a sim.  There are others too.  I've also had it happen with other mods as well.

It has been attributed in a number of places around the Sims universe to mods and several are getting the blame.  I have my doubts about that as I have had it happen in a mod and CC free test game a couple of times as well as in my main save where I do use mods and CC.

So, the only advice I can give you is to save often while you play so you don't lose too much progress.  Since you use MCCC, you should also turn on its autosave feature if you don't have it on.  I use it and have it set to autosave every 12 in game hours.  That feature has saved me on many occasions from losing a lot of progress.

    Hope this helps.

  • I know this was a while ago but I figured Id leave this here for anyone else looking for answers! This just happened to me a couple of minutes ago and I was able to save my progress and exit the game by pressing alt + F4 so it's not impossible to get out of 🙂 a little better that BSOD haha

  • Just found this and it literally saved my butt, and game! Alt F4 is a lifesaver.

I am having a similar issue with MCCC installed.

My game and MacBook completely freezes, the game audio still plays in the background, but i have to press the power button to shut the laptop down and reboot it.

I barely use any other CC.

@FaiyazSims Check that you have the mod installed correctly. If you need support with that, Deaderpool offers excellent support.
