MCCC Help?

can anybody explain to me what MCCC does in relation to story progression..

do I need to set anything up in the mccc settings once the mod is installed or is it all in there for me?

just need a bit of explanation to ensure it’s working correctly I want to make sure families are having babies and getting careers etc etc

  • Thanks. Tried that, didn’t work. And no there’s no option for mccc on the in game. I click on a sim and it’s the usual options

You may be best to post on the MCCC mod help thread

Make sure you have the checkbox to enable script mods turned ON in options, @sigh234. I'm pretty sure it will show in the CC list even if the "enable script mods" check box is not selected so just pop into options and check to be sure it is checked on.

If it is checked on, and you still aren't seeing the options, a few other things to check/try:

    • Make sure the mod is not buried in subfolders of your MODS directory. Because it is a script mod, you can only go like one or two subfolders deep with it.
    • from the cheat console, type "MC_Settings" (without the quotation marks). If that brings up the MCCC settings, it just means that the menu options for computer/sims/etc. are set to disabled within MCCC settings. Using the command line MC_Settings you can get in to change that.

  • Oh okay thanks. I’ll try that. But I read somewhere that the problem sometimes could be with the version of the sims not being compatible to the version of mc command I installed. Do you think thats it ?

    Hello @Sigh234
Make sure that your game is updated the latest game patch. To do that, right click the Sims 4 picture in Games Library in Origin, and click the option to “ check for updates”
Also , remove the current version of MCCC mod that you have, then redownload the mod and install it again
  • Are you using the version that was released this morning? https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/17995213/#Comment_17995213
