MOD NOT REACTIVATED DESPITE PROCEDURE

Hi, can anyone tell me why as soon as I deleted the localthumbcache.package file, I can't start the game as a result?

I performed this procedure as a request on the Help page for users who have Mods, where the step was as follows:

After the basic update:

1-)Start without Mod.

2-)Move to Live mode.

3-)Exit the game without saving.

4-)Clear the Cache (delete localthumbcache.package)

5-)Reactivate mod--> the latter doesn't work for me because the start key has been disabled.
