mod not showing up in game
ive just downloaded a mod and it shows up when i click on "view custom content" in my game. however the mod isnt show up. (its the no more quick meals mod) and i have the required mod for it to work

Make sure you have any other mods required for it to work. It's also not been confirmed working for quite a while and the creator isn't active. Still, that's the most likely issue.
