@418653 I've merged your post with another thread on this issue. The cause is usually mods, so please remove all your mods and test.
If that doesn't work, please move your entire Sims 4 user data folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet (not even your mods); just see whether you can start a new save and play for a bit.
If you can, please copy your existing save to the new Sims 4 folder, again without adding back your mods. See whether the save will load or not.
@puzzlezaddict I tried what you told me and my game works perfectly! I lost all my saves but other than that, ITS PERFECT! Thanks so much!

@418653 You can try loading a backup save instead of your current one. In this kind of situation, the backups are often fine, especially when they're in the new Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. The best approach to restoring a backup is to use the manual method described here:

- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict I tried this and it still didn't work ☹️
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@Kler_fab If you have blue flashing squares, then you have this issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/MOD-RELATED-Sims-disappeared-from-household-Blue-flashing-square/m-p/8428174#M155726
If you saved your game, there's no way of going back other than using a backup and if no backups work, you'll need to start over.
Do make sure that you remove the mod that's causing the issue.
