[MOD RELATED] For rent ep world not opening

I just purchased the new Sims 4 Rent Expansion.  The Tomarang World will not load.  Once I click on the world the screen goes white and it will not load.

@Backspace6562214 This is most often caused by outdated mods. You'll find that many were updated for patch 1.103 (see https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/Broken-Obsolete-and-Updated-Sims-4-Mods-1-103-Dec-5-amp-14-2023/m-p/13271095), and All Worlds Are Residential (a common cause of this) was reupdated for patch 1.104 (see the current Broken/Updated Mods list).

I've had the same issue since, like, the week after I bought it. I tried starting a case in the Help Center twice; both were automatically marked as "Resolved." I think they EA just doesn't want to admit that they have no fix. Very disappointing.

I just got For Rent expansion and when I went in game to play the world will not load up. It just shows a blank white screen. I restarted the game and my pc and neither worked. I turned off cc and it worked, and I turned its back on, and it doesn't again. It's the only world not working, and I have other expansions, so I'm really confused. My cc doesn't seem broken, and it doesn't cause any other problems for other packs. I don't want to play without cc, but I want to use my new expansion. I've repaired the game twice once with cc on and the other without. If anyone has had this problem or knows anything that may help it would be much appreciated. 🙂

@FranlynB Start at the Broken/Updated Mods list to see what's there that's known currently broken or recently updated. Also check any venue list mods you have for updates; those were updated for For Rent earlier. If you still have issues after that, you'll need to do a 50-50 of the rest of your mods folder.

The same happened to me and seems to be happening to everyone. I got the pack like 3 days ago and I have tried basically everything. Even when I took all mods and CC out of my game. That world would not open. So, I do my last resort which was start a new save. I put all my mods and cc in a back up folder and instead of putting them back. I went and got all the updated mods first and added them little by little to the game. Then I took all my old cc from my saved folder and added it little by little. Everything has been working but only under the saved game. Not my old saves. I’m unsure why this I happening because if the world opens on a New save. It should the old saves. Especially since I updated all mods and added cc back little by little. The only thing I can think of is…what if it’s a LOT. Deleting lots. Is not something I have patience to do lol. I have just accepted that I can only access the new world in the new save that I created. Hopefully someone figures it out. So, we can play the new world from our old saves. I hate EA has not given a real fix on this. 

I have gotten a white screen like that in San Sequoia after downloading a couple of rentals changing from one rental to the other to see what rental worked best in the lot,  and then going back to residential.  I don’t use mods or CC, but I did download the two lots from the gallery, but no wrenches showed up. I have all the packs except Lovestruck at this time.  I am afraid to change my lots to a different lot type now because I am afraid the map will go white.  This happened before the patch that came before Lovestruck.

I think I got the solution but the corrupt build may disappear after. 

My corrupted lot was in Forgotten Hollow. I also spend a lot of time by building a rental and after I finished it, I got stuck in the loading screen. Then I forced the game to close and came across the white screen everytime I tried to load Forgotten Hollow. This issue was driving me crazy for weeks, I just couldn't find any solution.

Then I tried loading a normal household and traveled over a social event to any lot in the affected world (it only needs to be in the same neighbourhood as the broken lot). After quitting the event, I traveled to the corrupt building by clicking onto it over zooming and scrolling to it. The game allowed me to visit the rental house and I could open the build mode, change the lot type to a normal residential home and after going back to the worldmaps the world did load again. 

The property was empty but after that I did not have any issues with loading the worldmap again.
