[MOD RELATED] Highschool sims can't study

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? current version
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all of em except kits and star wars
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? unless you can't have your teen sims study while at high school then you can't
What happens when the bug occurs? there's no option anywhere to study in the places the game says it should be
What do you expect to see? the option to study when i select the sim, laptop, or bookcase
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. updated the game

my sims can't study for exams when at school or home and can't even attend the study options after school

    HI @TinkaThea 

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    @zoestockton21 

    This is usually Education System Overhaul. If you took it out and it's still causing problems, delete your localthumbcache and see if that helps.

    For me it was a bienchen "sims4me" mod though I am not sure which one. I have my mods all sorted by mod author within my mods folder. I was able to identify the bad mod by removing my folders by mod author one at a time. I suspected bienchen and it was one of the first folders I tested. Another way to find the mod is to fifty/fifty your mods until you find the culprit.

     I don't have any education mods so I am guessing it was an outdated mod that altered the pie menus or something. I thought I updated all of her mods but I must have missed one...

    It didn’t work I tried putting the old sims 4 file in the backup file and it was brand new and I went to the highschool on the NEW game and I saw the study for exams as well as look at your schedule but when I put the old sims 4 file back it was not there AGAIN it’s really frustrating was there something I did wrong?

    I saw this reply so I deleted the KS education mod and it still doesn’t work, do you have the KS explore mod and do you know if that might affect it aswell?

    TBH every mod installed will always come with it's own consequence. Anytime I download mods something NEW doesn't work, so I stopped using them. And plus, sadly, that pack gives me trouble all the time because it doesn't get fixed most of the time. But I mean, something similar happened to me, or a sim with the professor career couldn't work in the portfolio, so maybe clear up some desk space, it won't work if there is a laptop or computer on the desk that you want to use. Hopefully that helps a little.
