Mods and CC Known Bugs and Issues: April 18th, 2023 Game Update

Same problem!! logged on today after an update and I cant see any male sims in family. any help would be greatly appreciated! :')

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Putting the infant on the playmat or in the crib to lay and sleep
What happens when the bug occurs? Playmat- Adults arm glitch behind them, when they go to play with the infant the adult's back is towards the infant and they are playing with air then when they walk away the baby glitches and appears 2D whenever the adult moves. Crib- The baby does not get placed in the crib and baby follows the adult around at their feet the entire time they are suppose to be "sleeping"
What do you expect to see? The adult to properly play with infant on the playmat and remain there when the adult walks away as well as have the infant be placed and stay in the crib to sleep
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

Please remove all your mods/cc (especially cc cribs) and try again.

The recent automatic update on origin to the sims 4 i tried to go in and play my game and create a new family and the game won’t let me create a male sim! It’ll let me create a female just fine but my male sims won’t even pop up when clicked on. Can somebody else let me kno if they have the same issue. i’ve already tried to repair the game and uninstalling the game causes me to lose everything including my other families!

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I’ve had this problem the past two days, all males are invisible for me since the update. I tried opening a new game too, not just my previous save, it’s all the same.

no visible men in CAS, none of my male sims are visible and no male NPC’s are visible. They are there and doing stuff, but I can’t see or interact with them… I went to the gym and watched the weights move themselves, the showers turn on and off, there are floating umbrellas on rainy days… 

I have tried disabling and uninstalling all mods and cc, I only have WW and MCCC.

i am having the exact same problem i dont know what to do!!

I was also having the same problem on my MacBook but I believe I found the issue! Before I started having the problem, I noticed that when using one of my breast sliders, if I moved the slider too far in the character would disappear—even my female sims.

I followed @crinrict instructions and while putting my mods back in by folder, I discovered that removing one of my breast sliders (B.C_Breast.package) fixed the issue of my male sims being invisible. I saw a thread on reddit and it seems like other users are having the same problem but removing various slider mods fixed it. Try going through them a few at a time to see which one is causing the issue!
