The_Mercuria This problem has been around for as long as Sims 4, but it flares up occasionally. The June patch introduced the DirectX 11 version, which now uses TS4_x64, while the (still default) DirectX 9 version of the game now uses TS4_DX9_x64, which didn't exist prior. So anyone who needed but had already set an exception for the game needed to add a new one unless they switched to DX11 mode. Additionally, some antivirus software has been flagging TS4_Launcher_x64, which to my knowledge was never a problem (and the executable may not have even existed) before June.
Regardless of what version of Avast you have, you WILL have the ability to set exceptions. I can't tell you exactly where to look because I don't use the software; that's why I tried to find some documentation on Avast's site. If that and your own google searches don't help, poke around a bit. The settings have to be in there somewhere, or all the other users of Avast's free version wouldn't be able to play either.
