Mods folders duplicating on desktop of PC and then files not in EA folder

Hi, I'm having a bizarre issue I can't figure out. I use mods in my game and a few weeks ago, I was trying to clean some folders up, so I was moving stuff to the desktop and back. Since then, my mods no longer appear in my mods folder. The folders are there (like my folder for hair, or tops, or dresses), but the actual files are not in those folders. Instead, the folders duplicate to my desktop with all of the files in them. I moved the folders back, but next time I started up the game, the same thing happened again. Super duper weird. Anyone have any recommendations? I also think I deleted the folders at one point, but I restored them when I realized. Maybe that also has something to do with it? Not sure. Thanks!
