Mods still showing up

I deleted a mod from my folder but it still shows up in the game. I have a mac by the way. I saw that some people were saying to make sure the folder is correct but I used the finder and I only have one folder for the sims. It's in my icloud drive, which is where I think it's supposed to be. But I deleted the mod and then emptied my trash and when I use the finder the mod doesn't show up, but when I launch the game it's still there. Does anyone know how to help? I really don't know what to do at this point because from what I can see the mod is not even on my computer anymore.
