Moodlet not leaving

So I have two sims who ended up being scared of the dark and for one sim I gave them the potion to remove the fear. I removed the fear but they still have the moodlet of being scared of the dark. I also put in the cheat to remove the fear and while it says the fear is removed, they still have the moodlet that they're scared of the dark. Any idea what can I do?
