My Cas Background isnt changing

Question

So im having a problem. I recently downloaded a few CAS backgrounds and put them in a seperate folder and put that on my desktop, I had a old CAS background and wanted to change it so i took it out my mods folder and put a new one. When i launched my game and went into CAS to see if it worked. It changed to the default sims 4 CAS background so i thought this one may be broken so i tried a few others and the same thing happened. When i went to put my old one back it worked. But the others didnt. What could be the cause for this??? I play on iMAC and i have over 16k cc and mods

@Marlyperiod Try taking out your entire mods folder, then launch the game, exit. Move over your mods to the newly generated mods folder, but don't change or replace the config file that's in there. (Also, don't forget to change the CAS background mod. Does that help?
