my game claims all my cc is corrupted and won't open?

Hello there! I just recently redownloaded the sims 4 (after a 3 year hiatus), and so I've been going through the process of redownloading all my cc and mods. However, I seem to be experiencing an issue where whenever I try loading the game, it immediately fails and brings up a pop up claiming that all these different cc items are corrupt and are causing an issue with the game opening. However after some experimenting, I realized it's saying that ALL of my cc is apparently corrupted (which cannot be true). I've since tried repairing my game, restarting my computer, moving cc around, etc, and nothing has worked. So I'm assuming this issue is beyond my capabilities and rather has something to do with the most recent update. However, if anyone has any ideas or has experienced this as well and could help me out, that would be great! (also I feel this may be important to mention, but I am running my game on an external SSD connected to my Mac. So perhaps that is creating a conflict regardless of my mods and entire sims folder being redirected to the SSD?) Thank you so much in advance!
