My mods and cc won't work

I haven't been able to start my Sims game it would act like it would start and then go right back to the EA screen. I tried to repair my game it still didn't work so I followed some advice that I saw on here and I dragged the Sims 4 file to my desktop it let me open the game but all my saved households were deleted and my cc and mods won't load into the game. I checked the mods folder and all of the stuff I have downloaded is there, how do I fix this?

  • @gd834rbegf60  When you moved the Sims 4 folder, you prevented the game from reading any of your existing content: saves, mods, whatever you've added yourself.  This is the entire point of the clean folder/factory reset, and it's established that the problem is something in your old Sims 4 folder.

The next step is therefore to start moving your content from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one.  Do so a little at a time, testing along the way, so you know when you've added a problematic file.  When the game stops launching, you can split that last batch of files and retest until you've found the culprit.  Test your mods and custom content first, and leave your saves for last.  Most of the files and folders don't need to be transferred; just keep the contents of saves, Tray, and Mods, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those.

    Hi there
Look at the place where you dragged the Sims 4 file to your desktop at the first.
You did that from "Document>Electronic Arts", right?
New "The Sims 4" folder is there.
