my mods dont work

In your Documents folder, there should be an Electronic Arts folder. Inside that should be The Sims 4. Inside that is a Mods folder - is that where your mods are installed? There should also be a saves folder - do you have anything in there? What about the Tray folder (where library items are saved)?

If these folders are empty, do you have any backup/recovery on your computer to restore files?

yes, my mods are in the mods folder. yes, there's stuff in the saves folder, and yes there's stuff in my tray files.

@Teee_2000  It sounds like the game is reading a different Sims 4 folder than the one that contains your saves and mods.  Please use this in-game method to find your user folder:

Compare the file path you see there with the file path to the folder that contains your user content.  If they don't match exactly, for example if one of the file paths has OneDrive in it, that's the issue, and you simply need to move your saves and everything else to the correct folder.

If you're not sure what you're looking at, or the above doesn't help, please post a screenshot of the contents of the saves folder, as in, I want to see the saves themselves.  Please also post the file path to the Sims 4 folder as seen in-game through the method above.  You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want, but leave the rest of the file path intact, and also let me know if you see the wrong username there.
