my sims wont age up when blowing out candles

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.97.62.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all expansions, vampires, werewolves, dream home decorator, parenthood, paranormal, toddlers,
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? try to have a sim age up with a cake
What happens when the bug occurs? sims blow out candles and walk away
What do you expect to see? my sims to age up
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. the most recent patch

ive been using one of my saves and 3 of them have had birthdays and wont age up when i use any of the age up actions. they will blow them out and then do another tas instead of aging

    @miyahw2406If there are counters, tables, chairs, etc in the way, they usually walk into a wide open area in order to age up. I would see if setting it on a random table in the middle of the room with nothing or not much around changes anything.  Adding, I have had it where they just didn't age up, and it turned out the cake had gone bad while sitting there.  So check that, too.

    i've tried multiple different counters and even got a small table and they'll blow out the candles and then nothing will happen

    @miyahw2406 Did you test without any mods/cc installed ? Does the age group matter ?

    This bug was fixed except for toddlers so if you're still seeing it it's very important that you remove all your mods, delete the localthumbcache file, repair your game and then test again.

    @crinrict It does work when i take all my mods out idk which it could be because ive updated almost all of them

    ive tried the 50/50method and took out a mod that was causing it and it worked once now they wont age up again
