new update/mods moved?

after this recent update (15/12/2023 or so?) my mod files were 'broken' in a feeble attempt to find out what went wrong, i moved my mod files. I have since moved them back to where they were originally from Sims 4>Mods but for some reason they do not appear in my game?

And yes, i have enabled, disabled, re-enabled mods/cc in game, but alas this has not worked. i saw a previous post saying not to moved files specifically downloaded from CurseForge, is this the same for all downloads? is this fixable? please help!!

    @4250858 Your mods should be in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

    The program files is where the main game is stored, with the packs you have installed. Documents is where your personal content - mods and save files - is stored.

    @4250858 Can you post the full path of your Mods folder? Also a screenshot of the inside of your Mods folder would help.

    yes of course! programfiles>ea games> the Sims 4> Mods
