No searching in search bar after the blue EA icon.

After the EA blue icon, my search bar in build mode with Sims 4 will not work. Either it crashes when i try to search or it brings up strange things when I type in debug. Or other items are also mixed up. I have 200 custom content items with 7 programs running with Sims 4. Doesn't matter if I keep the cc folder in the game or remove it to my desktop, I get the same result with the search bar. I have also tried to repair the game 4 times. Nothing. I also have remove the cache files several times. Should I remove the EA program and reinstall?? I have also turned off automatic updates, if this is not going to be an issue. I am at a loss for what to do next. Have tried everything.

cutlass76 If renaming the Mods folder and deleting localthumbcache doesn't let you open the game -- do this again -- head to Tech Support.

Took several days, had everything up and running great! UNTIL, the April 16th update!! NOW, the game won't open! AND YES, the custom content folder is out, Sims 4 folder is cleaned out, AND I have repaired game twice!!! NOW WHAT???

  • Thank you for your help. After I went through these steps, I found taking out the mod folder and placing only 3 files at a time worked. Everything is back to normal for now.  I believe the issue is the Marketplace release has devastated the custom content creators. Running 7 programs for Sims 4, unfortunately couldn't even fix this issue. 😞
