[not mod related] unsaved household due to black screen

Hello. 

I was just playing sims, about to save a household I just spent 1 and a half hour making. When my screen sort of just stands stil for a few seconds and then it turns black. This is a problem I have had for over a year i think: the screen just turning black, and when I then get the screen back to normal, which takes between a few seconds to a few hours, my sim game haven't been saved, scince my computer left the game when turning black. This is really annoying, and it really just puts me into a bad mood, having spent 1 + hours on the sims, and it just isn't saved. Do anyone knoew how to fix, or how I can get my household back, which I know have lost scince the screen turned black?
