NPC Sims not showing up to club gathering

I’ve had this problem off and on for a couple months now, seems like since I installed the Growing Together update. Anyway, I’ll make my Sim the leader of a club, settle on 8 members, then pick a weekend and start a club gathering — but no one else shows up. Example: My Sim now runs Powerhouse, so Sunday at noon I started a gathering and no one has shown up. I have MCCC and several other mods, is there a known mod issue with this or do I have to play the add/remove game? Please help 😢
